"Little Ishinomaki", a ten-day event to showcase future-oriented activities developed in post-tsunami Ishinomaki and powerful Ishinomakians, was held inside the Shin Marunouchi Building right in front of Tokyo Station. It had an exhibition featuring Ishinomaki’s creativity in various forms such as arts, crafts, projects, photos, and movies, along with a live performance and a series of presentations delivered almost every evening. A library space on the restaurant floor
“Marunouchi House” became the main venue and it was packed with audience everyday. I planned the event together with architect
Nishida-san from
ondesign & Partners and Ishinomaki-based art director
Hinako, then joined three evening sessions as a speaker. I also came up with the name "Little Ishinomaki", creative directed event graphics, and wrote the event manifesto. The event was supported by

「リトル石巻」が、東京駅の真ん前、新丸ビルの中で開かれた。コンテンツとして用意されたのは、石巻のクリエイティビティを象徴するアート、クラフト、プロジェクト、写真、映像の展示、ライブパフォーマンス、そして毎晩のように行われた多彩なプレゼンテーション。メイン会場であるレストランフロア
「丸の内ハウス」のライブラリースペースには連日たくさんの人が集まり、かなり盛況だった。僕は建築家である
オンデザインパートナーズの
西田さん、そして石巻ベースのアートディレクターの
ヒナコと一緒にこのイベントのプランニングに参加。夜のセッションにもスピーカーとして3回加わり、「リトル石巻」というネーミング、メインビジュアルのクリエイティブディレクション、マニフェストのライティングも担当させてもらった。イベントをサポートしてくれたのは、雑誌
「Discover Japan」。
